Sightseeing in Seoul: The N tower and the 63city building, and so on~

So tired >.< it's almost midnight here and im just starting to write the post^^' I try to keep it short~
The Namsan tower~

Well yesterday we visited the Namsan tower (nodays known just as the N tower~) and the aquarium at 63city building. :) both were good, though the aquarium was a little bit small (at least that's what Annika says~^^').

The view of Seoul and han river~<3

The famous locks for couples~ (there is either the metal trees or the fence where you can put your own designed or bought lock with your loved one~ it will represent your eternal love<3)

So cute <3

;)

The other choice to show your eternal love is the plates inside the namsan tower~

Briefly the basic info about the Namsan tower:
1. How to get to the Namsan tower: take a (green) bus number 02, 03 or 05. Normally arrives every 15-20 minutes~
Easiest way is to hop on in:
for bus nr. 2 = myeongdong station exit 3
for bus nr. 3 = seoul station exit 9 OR namdaemun market bus stop
for bus nr. 5myeongdong station exit 3, chungmuro station exit 2 in front of Daehan Cinema OR Namdaemun market bus stop OR Yaksu station exit 2.
All the buses will stop sutomatically in the Namsan tower so don't worry ^^ the trip will cost about 850 won, so it's VERY cheap~
BTW if you are staying at KPOP guesthouse in Namsan (like we, an NO it's not because of the name we are here, but because of the location and the price~), you can go to the Namdaemun market bus stop (like we^^') or the Seoul station, BUT the easiest is the Namdaemun Police Sation bus stop right a cross the street, next to (on the right of) the Seoul City tower~
The namdaemun market bus stop (and annika~)
The n tower bus stop and the buses~

2. What it costs: to go up to the Namsan tower it costs 9,000 won, BUT if you just want to look the beautiful view of the Seoul city, you don't have to pay anything~ the view is almost as good at the bottom of the Namsan tower too :) (we didn't go to the top of the namsan tower~^^)
the trick is that you can only send postcards at the top of the Namsan tower, because they don't sell the stamps for the postcards on the botom of the tower... ^^' but well, you can still by the cards~ we did <3

The postcards we bought~ we will send them as soon as we can find the stamps^^'

BTW about eating, it's likely to be pretty much expensive to eat at the tower, but there is also a food-area at the botom of the tower with not as expensive prices~ a burger meal was 10,000 won^^

3. IF you are a foreigner at The Namsan tower.. Well, prepare yourself for being pictured^^' the amount of three times someone came to us and asked if she/he could take a picture with us~^^' also got one phone number :D So really.. you have been warned~! XD
Annika and me~ (on the cable car - side)

4. Cable Cars: There is also a possibility to go to the Namsan tower via cable car. It will cost one-way 6,000 won and round trip 8,000 won. This is something to think about expecially for elderly people, because there will be a bit of an uphill from the Namsan tower bus stop to the actual tower~^^'
ALSO: those who have watched the BBF kdrama (and for those who obviously haven't, it's the legendary "Boys Before Flowers" korean drama [originally japanese manga, anime and drama called "hana yori dango"] that made the korean actor/singer Lee Min Ho famous back in the days~!) in the drama the main couple rode the cable car and wrote their marks on the corner~! Try to find it;)

Visited also the 63city tower near han river~ there is a sky deck, an aquarium and a wax museum for starters~ We only visited the aquarium, cause we had just been at the Namsan tower, but I really recommend the sky deck because it's awsome location~! The costs are: aquarium (15,000 won), sky deck (9,000 won) and wax museum (about 14,000 won). The 63city also holds in a IMAX cinema (about 12,000 won).

For couples to take picture~^^'

At the aquarium, me and annika :)

That was all about yesterday~~ so what about today then? O.o

Visited the myeongdong market again and walked to the Cheonggyecheon stream~<3 it was on a day time so no big lighshows or anything, but still~ also walked through the Insadong (more like a market of a traditional and old culture of korea) and through the Bukchon Hanok village (home of hundreds of traditional houses called hanok).

The Cheonggyecheon stream<33

The wishing well (you have to aim to the middle of the well and then wish~)

From the Bukchon Hanok village~

From Insadong~

There was a cake shop ^^ omnom~

Us at the Cheonggyecheon stream ^^

After that just walked through myeongdong~ visited a cafe too :))
Huomhuom! Noraebang~!<3 meaning a karaoke~!! HAVE to try out before we leave~^^

A cafe we visited~

Cute place~ there is three floors, on the top floor you can also smoke^^' not that we did~ but that's something almost everywhere in korea you can do.. And i mean, inside! O.o

We actually find you move love <3 next time we are gonna come for you~~~!!!

This is for my sis, i was going to byu this for you (and your iphone)..but it cost too much >.<' maybe if i have money on the last day~! :))

Nevertheless, the most importat note of today:
while going to the namdaemun, myeongdong and insadong... DO NOT USE A METRO~! We just realized today how close by we actually live from these markets.. So now on, we are definitely going to WALK to these places, because although in euros the amount of money used on the metro ticket is not much, but in Seoul you can buy a snack or coffee with it~^^' Also for a sidenote, even the bus is cheaper, so you can try using them too;) the green ones or the blue ones are the best to use~^^ (they move between the certain highpoints of seoul, like metro stations and sightseeings or in the closest areas~)

But that was all for today, thank you for reading so far~^^
All the best,
Laura
