Gyeongbokgung palace and some bowling : 2.1.2016

New day, new try~ to go and see the Gwanghwamun gate and the Gyeongbokgung palace^^ This time we headed there right after the breakfast (and this time the breakfast was actually in the morning~) and strolled around the palace around an hour or so. I remembered how last time I was thinking it would be too expensive to go in... well, turns out its only 3.000 won (2.50 euros) for a person so NOT that expensive I would say :D And worth to visit, so definitely recommended~ BTW: If you want to get a full experience and some nice pictures, you can try renting a traditional korean clothing (hanbok) from nearby stores and stroll around the palace^^

The Angel in us - cafe we went to eat breakfast^^ (This one is just right next to the Gwanghwamun square)

The entrance (or in this case the exit, cause even though it was an entrance to the palace, the tourists must enter through another entrance, located a little to the right~)

Gyeongbokgung palace

...and the famous Gyeonghoeru pavilion

Just when we were heading out, out-of-nowhere there were so many people standing next to the gate and waiting for something...

...which then turned out to be the royal guard changing ceremony~

Eeva and Henna invited us to do some bowling so we headed out to meet them. Also, in my big surprise, met one other friend of mine as it turned out she knew Eeva and Henna. She was an exchange student in the University of Helsinki some time ago and thanks to Noora I was able to meet her when she visited Porvoo~

[I'm still so very sorry that I didn't recognize you at first TT.TT But more than that, I'm so grateful to have met you again! Thankyou Jaeyoung <3] (©재영)

Eating at a jokbal (족발 = pig's trotters/feet when freely translated) restaurant, first time for me~

It was surprisingly good! Totally recommended~~

After the bowling and eating we ended up in karaoke;) in an hour or more which after everybody kind of went their separate ways~~ Me, Eeva, Annika and Ida felt like still celebrating a little, because this was our last night in Seoul for the four-of-us (tomorrow we would leave to Busan and after that Annika and Ida would return to Seoul on their own where as I'd go to Tokyo and Eeva to Dalian, China~) so we headed to Sinchon to find a place to eat and maybe drink some^^

the bowling-squad:D Henna's boyfriend was also with us~ (©Henna)

The place we found in Sinchon was called "warawara"~ really nice, kind of japanese izakaya-style restaurant/bar..but a little bit more sophisticated:D

our drinks~ order one more of these<3

and some "snacks" ^^ It's pizza without the pizza dough~ So only toppings (and a lot of cheese)

The evening was fun and everybody really tired~ This was our last day in Seoul for now so next update is going to be about us going to Busan and what awesome adventures we had there~

All the best,
Laura

Recommendation of The Day:
- Warawara izakaya (any location~ but well, Sinchon's was pretty good^^)
- jokbal restaurant <3 totally worth it~
- and of course, karaoke is a must when you are in Asia (personally I like japanese karaokes more because they are a bit new~er and the foreign songs are updated pretty fast. + The music video plays usually on the screen when you sing the song, instead the random video..^^' but this is only my opinion so please go and check~)
